Woburn Aikido teaches traditional Japanese martial arts.
Aikido helps develop a strong spirit and body through intense but non-competitive training. Aikido training is fun, challenging, and rewarding on many levels, and is available to everyone regardless of age, gender or race. We incorporate weapons training (jo, bokken and tanto) into our Aikido classes.
We also offer classes in Iaido (Japanese swordsmanship). Call the dojo for more details about our Introduction to Iaido program.
Children's classes are available. Kids age 4 - 12 learn the basics of Aikido in a safe and energetic class. Although the classes are fun, they are also highly structured engaging the kids completely. The kids are expected to sit quietly, pay attention to the instructors, and use their brains as much as their bodies. Please contact us for specifics.
Yoga classes are now being held on Sunday nights from 5:00 - 6:15pm. Yoga classes are for all levels and focus on alignment, breath and relaxation to develop strength and flexibility in a non-competitive environment. All you need is comfortable clothing to stretch, breathe and be yourself in.
Fitness Classes on Sunday evenings from 3:45 - 4:45 are a high-paced, high-energy exercise experience designed to improve cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength and tone, and to create a unified body and spirit. This revolutionary approach to exercise and fitness conditions the body while nourishing the mind.
