Michael Baron began his martial arts training in 1980. He holds the rank of San Dan in Aikido and San Dan in Iaido. Michael has also been training in Iaido since 1997, and was a close student of the late Mitsunari Kanai Shihan. Michael is also an English teacher, a writer, and an amateur sword maker. Part of this unique gift he received from his teacher was an appreciation of Japanese swords and fittings and the process of making these timeless pieces of art.
Herve Collin started Aikido 20 years ago and has trained in France, Cambridge, MA and now in Woburn, MA and currently holds the rank of 2nd Kyu. Herve is the VP of Operations for a software company when he is not training on the mat with his Sensei and fellow Aikido students.
Luke McKneally
Lewis Loren is 3rd kyu and has been studying Aikido since 2000. He was also fortunate enough to have briefly studied under Kanai Sensei before his passing. He leads one of the half-hour basics classes in which students have an opportunity to focus on the basic building blocks that serve as the foundation for its techniques, and assists with the children's classes. Lewis lives in Medford with his wife and daughter.
